Someone has described poetry as " music in words". Do you agree with this description? If you say that you do not like poetry, you make a statement that is not really true. What you should say is that you have no yet learned to appreciate poetry. You cannot enjoy what you don´t know.
To enrich your appreciation of poetry, follow these suggestions:
Browse through many books of verse and read poems that appeal to you.
Read poetry aloud (either yourself or to others).
Listen to while others read it.
Reread and study poems that stir you.
Memorize poems that you like.
Some volumes of poetry contain poems written by a single author. Others are collections of poems by many authors.
Enjoy poetry :)

SEASONAL POEMS
Often a poem expresses the poet´s feeling about the changes in nature during the seasons of the year. Read this poem about the flight of birds in spring:
WILD GEESE
Hark, what a clamor
Goes wining through the sky!
Look, children, listen
To the sound so wild and high!
Like a peal of broken bells,--
Kiling, klang, kling,--
Far and high the wild geese cry,
"Spring! It is spring!
