If you are an English Teacher :) and kids are having fun with Halloween words and crafts. A word search puzzle is always ideal. We have to go to some traditions in the past. Halloween comes from ancient Europe, it is said that in Celtic and some Galic lands. People in those days were afraid that their crops normally pumpkin could not come right, do to pests or lack of nutrients or water. People normally had the belief that they could make the bad spirits go away by giving pumpkin sweets to the kids and wearing customs. Then it became Christianized in America becoming part of the festivity of all the Saints. We have to realize that all these traditions have a good purpose that is to gather with family and friends share sweets and smiles with kids. Let´s not get into exaggerated issues or mental disorders, or fanatism. Let´s see traditions in a positive way and most of all let´s have respect for other cultures. Have fun with your word puzzle.
