Coloring has been for long time reserved to kids, but adult coloring books had come to market with a great success since the last couple of years we can see Mandala, Zentangles, water color and other coloring books. This success can be explained, because they are easy to access and probably not expensive. It's not necessary to know art or have a lot of technical points of view. Why is coloring recommendable in Art Therapy? I certainly use it myself, since a young age without really knowing the benefits, it favors "CONCENTRATION", when coloring you leave a side all that you are thinking, this is by all means a great anti-stress activity. Some specialists even think that coloring is related or similar to the effect of meditation. Many indicators tell us that the internal life of a person emerges when coloring, the colors that are used, the features and also the choosing of the drawing says a lot! I hope you enjoy this little scoop into the World of Art Therapy. Remember that if you love coloring:) go ahead, it's not just for kids.
